The focus of Oncology Operations is to support our DTA departments and their leaders towards the successful delivery of the portfolio from target assessment to completion of early clinical development. Job mission We are seeking a business enabling manager who will work closely with the department leaders and their teams, aiming at enabling projects by providing a wide range of business- and project management support. A deep understanding of drug discovery and/or early development is required, hands-on experience in Oncology discovery and project leadership is preferred. Your impact Provide an objective perspective on the Onc DTA business to enable quality decision-making, ensure effective resource utilization and improve organizational performance, processes, and knowledge sharing. Support the assigned organization and their leaders in relevant business processes, act as a sparring partner to them and enable them to coordinate relevant decisions and allocate their resources according to the portfolio needs Coordinates the relevant Leadership team meetings to ensure robust, effective and efficient processes Represent the assigned departments in the DTA business operations team Acts as a member of the Oncology DTA Business Operations team to coordinate: Departmental budgets and headcount Strategic external collaborations portfolio RPF program ROADS program Compliance activities and Contracts (including iHCP, GSD and Sponsorships) CAPEX and Procurement processes· Potentially facilitate department meetings and ensure robust meeting follow-up of action items The position has a unique ability to impact the current and future success of the pRED Onc DTA Your profile Graduated in life sciences and hands-on experience in Oncology drug discovery preferred Successful candidates will have a minimum Drug Discovery or Drug Development knowledge and experience (min of 5 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry) Strong organizational skills, proactive working style with the ability to structure and drive implementation A service-oriented mindset Effective in collaborating with internal and/or external collaborators Ability to work independently and flexibly Experience in Project Management, leading cross-functional project teams in a matrix organization is a plus Ability to challenge assumptions, step outside traditional thinking Your location This position is located in Basel, Zurich or Penzberg Our commitment Roche commits to recognising talent and aptitude.
