This position is located in Basel, in a chapter within the Pharmaceutical Sciences (PS) function, where the development of regulatory compliant assays for Biomarkers and Bioanalytics is a primary focus. We closely collaborate with our therapeutic areas and functions to convert hypotheses into innovative therapeutics. Job mission The LCMS-MS Expert works in a self-managed and agile work environment where his/her main responsibility is the technology evaluation and application of LCMS-MS based methods. He/she is collaborating with internal and external customers, partners and stakeholders and a reliable partner. Your impact You develop and qualify LC-MS/MS analytical methods for regulatory compliant quantification of drugs, metabolites and biomarkers in biological samples. Assays are transferred to external partners, which regularly requires technical troubleshooting. You regularly apply LC-MS/MS methods to analyze study samples from preclinical discovery and early development studies and deliver high quality data and reports in line with departmental/project timelines. You drive the evaluation and implementation of novel bioanalytical LC-MS-based technologies and approaches to support all modalities (small molecules, oligonucleotides, large molecules) and constantly seek opportunities to use the technology in different areas. Your profile Master in Chemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical technologies, or similar 3-5 years experience in development, validation and application of LC-MS assays for the measurement of small molecules and oligonucleotides in biological fluids. Previous experience in LC-MS method development for large molecules will be a plus. Ability to work independently, applying sound technical judgement in the evaluation and development of new technologies to support all current and emerging modalities. Excellent communication skills, spirit of collaboration and ability to work in a highly self-managed manner in an agile matrix team. Sense of urgency.
