About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior FPGA Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge digital reality solutions. You will play a key role in designing and developing high-speed communication systems, digital signal processing, and synchronisation circuits. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team of skilled engineers in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment, focusing on precision technologies in aerial data acquisition, processing, and DaaS content.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing complex FPGA circuits and systems in VHDL, including high-speed communication, digital signal and data processing, timing, and synchronisation.
- Collaborating with other engineers to design high-speed digital PCBs and write firmware in C/C++ for embedded applications.
- Debugging and characterising electronic assemblies and submodules within advanced camera and LiDAR systems.
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams and external partners to meet project goals.
- Supporting production during series production ramp-up.

Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in VHDL design, RTL coding, timing analysis, and simulation/verification methods.
- Proficiency with embedded systems, particularly Linux or similar operating systems.
- Experience with Matlab or Python for design and analysis.
- Familiarity with GIT, Jira, and agile/scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to debugging and testing.
- Fluent English communication skills (German is a plus).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and related development tools.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, AXI, SPI, I2C.
- Experience with analog/RF electronics and their integration into digital systems.
- Previous work with LiDAR, radar, or imaging systems.
