Your new role

As a Senior Project Manager for Obesity Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic marketing initiatives that drive innovation, business growth, and patient impact in the field of obesity care. In this high-visibility role, you will lead complex projects – from ESG initiatives and digital health collaborations to international summits – working closely with cross-functional teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen our leadership in this therapy area and advance our commercial objectives.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a portfolio of strategic marketing projects for the obesity business, ensuring successful planning, execution, delivery, and impact
  • Plan and execute high-profile internal and external events to foster collaboration, thought leadership, and brand visibility within the obesity field
  • Gather and analyse market insights, consumer behaviour, and healthcare trends to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making
  • Provide strategic guidance and operational support to Regions and Affiliates, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and commercial priorities
  • Collaborate with internal functions (sales, medical, communications, legal, business development) and external stakeholders (healthcare organisations, associations, private sector partners) to drive project success
  • Monitor and evaluate key marketing performance metrics, recommending adjustments to maximise ROI and effectiveness
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards and broader corporate sustainability goals
  • This role offers a high degree of autonomy and visibility, with decision-making authority across strategic projects, resource allocation, and budget management.     Your new department

    You will be part of the Medical & Marketing team at Novo Nordisk. This department plays a critical role in driving innovative marketing strategies and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. The position is based in Zurich, where you will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Our team is dedicated to fostering cohesive strategies and bridging efforts between International Operations and Strategic Operations to drive unified outcomes.     Your skills & qualifications

    We’re looking for a new Senior Project Manager who demonstrates the ability to craft and execute long-term strategies that align with the commercial marketing goals for obesity-related products.

    To succeed in this role, you:

  • Hold an academic degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in experience in project management within commercial marketing within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Have a proven track record in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams
  • Have a strong understanding of market research, consumer trends, and product lifecycle management
  • Are fully proficient in English, both written and spoken

  • It will be seen as an advantage if you have gained experience within the obesity therapeutic area.

    On a personal level, you are adept at identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles in a competitive and evolving market landscape. You possess exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
