This position is located in ADME, a chapter within global Pharmaceutical Sciences, where the fate of new chemical entities and biologics is a primary focus. The ADME Chapter works throughout all stages of compound development, from lead optimization to candidate selection, all clinical development phases to filing of new drug applications. We closely collaborate with our therapeutic areas and functions to convert hypotheses into innovative therapeutics. Job mission The Senior Associate in vitro Drug Metabolism, Disposition and MS analytics will ensure the right quality of data to assess the disposition of our new small molecule drug research and development candidates by means of in vitro models to study drug transport and metabolic enzymes as well as related liquid-chromatography-mass spectrometry-based analytics. Your impact The responsibility of the job encompasses the set-up, validation and application of standard as well as state-of-the-art methodologies to assess the disposition of our new small molecule drug candidates in close collaboration with the involved scientists. Application of diverse in vitro methodologies including enzymes, cellular fractions, primary cells and cell lines and/or multiple biochemical and advanced LC-MS analytical methodologies will be part of this job including documentation of experimental set-up, protocols and results. Maintenance of lab infrastructure, materials and analytical instruments. Your profile You hold a bachelor or master in biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related relevant discipline with in-depth practical experience (preferably industrial) in at least one of the areas of active drug transport, drug metabolism, enzymology and inhibition/induction or quantification by complex liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry methods. You are familiar with lab automation and common digital tools for experimental planning, FAIR data capturing, evaluation and reporting in databases and reports. Preferably you gained hands-on experience in one additional discipline, either in vitro ADME tools or quantitative LC-mass spectrometry and radio-HPLC and maybe you had some exposure to a GLP-environment. You are committed to work in a team and are focused to drive the portfolio forward with the best approaches available.
